 Luna Iris ZahraLuna moved down the halls after the three o' clock bell had finally rung. A soft smile still hung on her lips as she remembered her last class of the day, history. She had always liked history but it was even better now since Jacob was in her class. Now that they were dating the fun amped up even more. A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she entered her dorm room. The female tossed her books on the bed and changed into a tee shirt and sweats. She pulled a zip up hoodie on as well and her moccasins.
The female glanced at herself in the mirror before leaving the dorm room. Luna moved down the hall and through some others before finally stepping outside. The sun was still high up in the sky and the weather was perfect today. She smiled softly and moved along the side walk. It was so much more cooler here than in Egypt. Way more cooler.
As she moved along the side walk her brown eyes looked over the people outside. There were couple talking and groups of friends laughing. Luna smiled and looked toward the benches. She saw someone familiar sitting on them and turned in that direction. As she got closer she realized it was Grace. Her smiled widened and she rounded the bench and sat down beside the girl. Hey Grace! She said.

Grace bit her lip as her eyes scanned between two forms that were sitting in front of her. She then looked down at her note book that was full of her history notes. A small sighed escaped her lips when she realized she hadn't written anything at all. How was she supposed to concentrate though when the boy she loved and his girlfriend were sitting right in front of her. She ran a hand through her hair and once that bell rang she raced out of that room unable to take it any longer. Once she was out of the room she sighed and walked to the courtyard. She looked around for an empty bench and when she found once she snatched it up.
Once situated on the bench she pulled out her song book and started to looking through it. When she came to a song that she had written many years ago she smiled lightly. It was about her friendship with Jake. She read over the song until she heard someone come over to her. She immediatley shut the not book and looked up to see who it was. Luna. Fuck, the last person in the world she wanted to see right now. She gave the girl a small smile and ran a hand through her hair. "Hi." She said as she set her hand back into her lap and looked down at her lap.

Luna Iris Zahra Luna raised an eyebrow when she saw Grace quickly close the notebook. Her brown eyes grazed over the book in her friend's lap. What was in it? Notes for school? Or maybe songs? She didn't know and she wasn't going to pry, it wasn't nice. The female kept the smile on her face when she received a short greeting. Grace didn't seem to happy at the moment. Why? She wasn't sure.
Well, how has your day been? She asked and smiled again. She wanted to hear about Grace's day. Maybe Grace would spill about something bad and it would explain why she wasn't happy at the moment. Or maybe there would be a hint of something that she would hopefully catch. Or, of course, there would be nothing to let her know why her friend was feeling this way.
Luna bit her lip and studied Grace's face. What was the matter? She looked away and let her eyes scan the courtyard. Her friend's emotions were bothering her. She wished she knew what was wrong so she could help. Luna tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and looked over at Grace again, waiting for a reply.

The girl looked from her notebook up to the female standing in front of her as she spoke. She then debated on if she should say anything at all. She could feel the jealousy rise up in the pit of her stomach and she closed her eyes for a moment before shrugging. "Nothing really. It's just been a long couple of days." She said swallowing a bit to keep back the emotions that were threatening her.
She then let her eyes scan the area before landing back on Luna and putting on a fake small smile. "How about you?" She asked as she resting bother her hands together in her lap and chewed on the inside of her lip as a small sigh escaped her lips. This was so awkward for her and she could barely look Luna in the eye.

Luna Iris Zahra "Nothing really. It's just been a long couple of days." Grace replied. Luna nodded after her friend shared this. That response made her current mood seem more likely. But it still didn't tell her much. The female bit her lip and shoved her hands into the pockets of her hoodie. What was going on? "How about you?" Grace asked. The female smiled softly and shrugged. The same old, same old. Worrying about grades. She paused and chuckled lightly. I hope I did good on the history project. Jacob better do good because I helped him. How do you think you did? Luna said.
At the thought of her friend's project she had become curious. She had done her project on the camels and their origin. What animal did Grace use? Luna sat down on the bench and turned slightly so she was facing her friend. Her brown eyes accessed the female before her curiously. What was going on? What's the matter Grace? You don't seem like yourself. She asked softly. Something was definitely bothering her friend. She just hoped that it didn't involve her. If she had hurt Grace in any way she hadn't meant it. She hated hurting people's feelings. Especially when it was on purpose.

Grace cleared her throat before nodding her head with a small smile. "Same." She said biting her lip and looking at her shoes. Her head perked up at the mention of Jakes name and she then shrugged her shoulder. "I think I did okay. I did it on the African Lion with the help of my brother so it should be good." She said with a shrug of her shoulder as her blue eyes finally met Luna's.
She watched as the girl moved to sit down next to her and then asked her what was wrong. She sighed a bit and then bit her lip. "Boy trouble." She said not going into legnth about what type of boy trouble she was having. She didn't want to make the girl feel bad for taking Jake from her when she really didn't mean to.

Luna Iris Zahra "I think I did okay. I did it on the African Lion with the help of my brother so it should be good." Grace spoke. Luna smiled. The lion was definitely a beautiful creature. Did you find out some cool facts? They're gorgeous animals, one of my favorites. She said and chuckled. I did mine over the camel. I used to have one when I lived in Egypt. Her name was Bella, she was a very sweet thing. She said and grinned. The mention of Egypt and her camel made her happy. She loved home but America was very interesting, she liked America too.
"Boy trouble." Grace said. Ah, that explained her mood to a 'T'. So it had to something with a boy. But who? Luna shook her head and glanced around. She wouldn't worry about the boy, that was Grace's business. Not hers. You know what helps with boy troubles? Luna asked and began to grin wildly. Ice cream and a movie! She said and stood up. The female gently tugged on Grace's hand to get her to stand up. They were going to go have fun and Grace was going to like it.

Grace gave another small smile when she started to go on about her project. Grace was starting to get uncomfortable and wanted her to just go away as she tuned the girl out a little and stared at the purple note book in her lap. When the girl finally stopped talking she smiled and nodded her head. "Cool." That simple word was the only one that fell from her mouth as she sighed a bit.
She then looked up and tilted her head when she was asked what would help her with boy troubles. Her eyes widened as her hand was grabbed and she was forced to stand up as she stood her note book fell with out her realizing it and she went over to grab her bookbag that was next to the bench. She knew she was going to be forced into this so what was the point in protesting. Even if she didn't want to go with the girl that made her want to cry and wish she was her.

Luna Iris Zahra After Grace stood up the notebook in her lap fell to the ground. Luna figured she would pick it up rather quickly. But when her friend turned away to get her bag she snatched the notebook up. Since the book had fallen it had opened to a page with writing on it. The female glanced over the words and realized it was a song. A very pretty song about someone. But who? She frowned in confusion but closed the book before Grace saw her peeking.
I got your notebook, it fell on the ground. Luna said and smiled softly. She handed the notebook over and then made sure her friend had everything. When it looked like everything was in order she turned toward the dorms. The female then changed her mind and turned toward the restaurant that served as their cafeteria. It held the ice cream. Then they could head to her dorm room and pick out a movie. Luna glanced back at Grace and grinned before moving toward the cafeteria area. This would be so much fun! She couldn't wait! As she moved toward the cafeteria her eyes went over the movie choices. It would definitely have to be a comedy, something to bring Grace's spirits up. But what should they watch?

Her smile some what faded and she looked at the contact feeling a bit bad for having these feelings for the girls boyfriend. She nodded her head and swallowed. "Yeah. Very close friend." She said with a smile crossed her lips as memories flooded her mind. A frowned quickly formed on her face. She wanted to know why he didn't like her back. Was she really not that appealing to him. If he didn't like her would any other boy at this school like her. What brought her from her thoughts was when the girl asked if she was ready. She nodded her head and then stood up and fixed her bag on her shoulder putting a smile back on her face.
She walked out of the room with her ice cream resting in her bag. She then started walking out of the building. "So what movie did you choose?" She asked as she bit her lip feeling her phone vibrate in her pocket. She ignored it though and walked toward the dorms. Once inside she walked a little down the hallway before coming to room 100 her dorm that she shared with Demi and Carmen. She opened the door relieved to find it Empty. "Make yourself at home. I'm gonna get changed." She said throwing her bag down on the top bunk and then moving into the bathroom.

Luna Iris Zahra "You didn't read that did you!?" Grace asked. Luna could hear the panic in her friends voice and she instantly felt bad for reading over the song that the book had opened to her. She shook her head though to say that she hadn't. Once Grace had shoved the notebook into her bag they made their way to the cafeteria. When they arrived their ice creams were ordered and she soon received hers.
Luna smiled down at the chocolate cone in her hand. "Hey mind if we got back to my dorm. I don't think I can take see my brother and Zailey making out again." Grace asked. Luna chuckled and nodded. Of course, whatever works. She replied. Her friend received her ice cream and then moved on to a table after everything had been paid for. Luna lingered around the counter until her eyes landed on the napkins. She grabbed some and headed over to Grace. As she approached she heard her friend giggle and call someone a dork. When she reached her she saw that her friend was texting. Luna smiled lightly. Texting a pal? She asked. She then shook her head and chuckled. Ready?

Luna Iris Zahra "Yeah. Very close friend." Grace replied. Luna nodded and looked away. As her brown eyes scanned the restaurant she couldn't help but wonder about who she was texting. Of course she would never ask because that would be called prying and her mother had taught her better. Even though she had lived in a small village where just about everyone relied on the Nile and the large city just twenty miles from them her mother had taught her the best of manners. She knew what each fork, spoon, and knife that was placed on a table at a formal restaurant was for.
She knew how to say please and thank you, of course. There were several other lessons she had learned as well. "So what movie did you choose?" The voice broke her from her thoughts. Luna raised a brow and started to follow Grace out of the restaurant. When her question finally registered she shrugged and moved up to walk along side her friend. I figured you should choose. She said with a soft smile. They finally reached the dorms and they moved down the hall. After reaching a certain door Grace stopped and so did she. Grace unlocked the door and she followed her inside. When her friend told her to make herself at home she nodded. Luna moved over and sat down on one of the beds and waited patiently for Grace.

As soon as Grace got into the bathroom she splashed her face with water and then dried it off before realizing she had forgotten clothes. She frowned and sighed before walking back out and grabbing some PJ's and walking back in. She quickly changed into her clothes not planning on going back out again and then threw them in the hamper. As walked out she ran a hand through her hair. "So I brough several movies from home I was thinking we could watch Bruce Almighty?" She suggested as she went over to the TV and into the cupboard below it.
She pulled out the movie and turned to Luna with a small smile. She then set the disk in the dvd player tray and walked over to the beds. She sat down on one and pressed play on the DVD player not realy saying anything and just muching on her ice cream. Being around her was still a bit awkward.

Luna Iris Zahra After Grace had entered the bathroom and closed the door Luna frowned. Her eyes traveled over the room she was in. There were two other beds. There were several books on a small shelf and a few bags. Some clothes were also strewn over a small area of the room, nothing too messy though. If the three beds didn't give it away you could tell that three people slept in this very room. The female scrunched her nose up and looked away from the slight clutter. It was a very small mess and much like her own room. Expect for her bed. She always kept her bed made and her space clean. She thanked her mother's constant nagging for her OCD issues.
Just then Grace walked out and the female perked up. But her friend just grabbed some pajamas and entered the bathroom again. Luna sank back down and sighed. She still wondered about her friend. Finally Grace entered and made no move to turn to the bathroom. Luna smiled and watched as she searched through some movies. After finding one she told her what it was and placed it in the DVD player. Bruce Almighty sounds great! She exclaimed and grinned. Once the previews started she opened her small tub of ice cream and dug in.

Grace flicked her bangs out of her way as she stared at the screen she then remembered she had gotten text while on her way over here. She stood up from the bed and then climbed up the bunk bed to grab her bag. Instead of coming back down though she stayed up there and grabbed her cell phone. She giggle lightly at the text message and quickly texted back before looking down at Luna making sure she was alright. She gave the girl a small smile before her eyes fixated on the screen.

Luna Iris Zahra The previews finally ended and the movie began. Luna became transfixed by the movie since she hadn't seen it before. Her brown eyes continued to watch until she heard movement from the side. She turned her head and saw Grace standing up in bed and searching for something on the top bunk. The girl appeared to be rummaging through a bag. After a second Luna realized that it was Grace's bag, the one she had been carrying outside. Just then Grace turned back at her and smiled before looking away. Luna noticed that she was staring at her phone screen again and giggling. She shook her head and looked back at the movie. Looks like someone is flirting with a guy.. Luna said with a light smirk.

Grace turned her head to luna who was talking to her again and she bit her lip and shrugged her shoulders. "Something like that. I do it all the time with him. Kinda jokingly." She said with a soft smile. She then sighed and flopped back on the bed thinking about Jake and wishing he was hers instead of Luna's. This made her feel really bad for thinking about this while his girlfriend was in the room. "Ugh!" She said pulling a pillow over her face and pushing on it. She wanted to scream into it so badly but that would look a tad bit suspicious. She sighed and left the pillow on her face as she her eyes fell closed.

She chuckled and shook her head. So who is the lucky boy that you're crushing on? She asked with a grin. Luna had always wondered who Grace liked. She had never really seen her friend with any boys. Well not in a relationship anyway, just as friends.

In her head there was a debate going on. What she should tell her. She sighed and closed her eyes, "My best friend." She said biting her lip and wondering if Luna knew who she was talking about. With luck she wouldn't and Grace would be in the clear but if she did she was kind of screwed.

Luna Iris Zahra "My best friend." Was Grace's short reply. Luna raised a brow and instantly wondered who her best friend was. She thought back but couldn't come up with anyone. She pursed her lips for a moment and continued to think... Nope, nothing came to mind. And your best friend is?.. She asked, wanting to know badly. Luna turned over on her back and looked up at the ceiling. She felt like her friend was still hiding something from her. Something serious and big. But what was it? She really wished she knew. But something in her gut told her that when she found out it would change a lot of things. Luna bit her lip and blinked. Hopefully the change wouldn't hurt. If change came at all.

She sighed as the other girls question rang through her head. She finally decided that she should just come out and say it. "Jake." She said a bit quietly she wasn't even sure if the other girl was able to hear it but suddenly her stomach felt queasy and she just wanted to disappear into the bed and cry. She felt bad, really bad for liking him but she couldn't control her feelings for him any longer. They had been best friends since the age of two and over the years her feeling for him started to change into something more.

Luna Iris Zahra The room became very quiet and Luna fidgeted slightly. Was Grace going to share? "Jake." A soft voice spoke. Her eyes widened and she played this one word over and over in her head, trying to make sure that she had heard her friend correctly. So Grace liked Jake? Luna swallowed and bit her lip. What was she suppose to say? He was her boyfriend after all.. But Grace had none him longer.. She sighed softly and ran a hand through her hair. This was something she did not expect. But she had wanted the truth and now she had it. Grace's mood, the texting, everything made sense now. It was all wrapped around Jake. So that's who you were texting.. Luna said quietly. It wasn't really a question it was more of a statement. The female frowned and kept her eyes on the ceiling. This was awkward now.

There was now a large lump in her throat as the room became silent and full of tension and awkwardness. She should have just lied instead of saying anything. When the girl finally did say something her words stabbed through her heart and she nodded slowly. She then closed her eyes again and frowned. "I'm really REALLY sorry! I don't want to have these feelings for him. I've just felt like this for soo long and I was about to tell him but then he told me he was dating you and it just made everything soo awkward." She said nearly in tears now. "I'm sooo sorry." She said getting up of the bed and escaping into the bathroom and shutting and locking the door.

As she looked over her shoulder Grace apologized again and ran into the bathroom. The room became silent quickly and she heard the door lock. Luna sighed softly and ran a hand through her hair. She had definitely not expected the day to turn out like this. It had been going great so far. The female stood up and grabbed her tub of ice cream. She didn't think it was best to stay, Grace was probably in tears and she might want to be left alone. Luna bit her lip and moved past the bathroom door slowly, not wanting to make too much noise. When she reached the door she slowly opened it and stepped out into the hall, quietly closing the door behind her. Luna looked both ways down the hall and saw no one. Good. She let out a breath and turned left, heading toward her dorm room. Her steps were short and slow. She couldn't walk too fast without hurting someone or herself because her mind was too far off. It was still trying to put everything together.
